I have never, ever, ever in my life been one to wake up and work out ~ much less wake up and do yoga, or even wake up and meditate. I'm usually a wake up and roll over and snuggle for the next hour until my stomach grumbles and I'm forced to get out of bed kind of gal. But something has been gradually changing. For the past few days, anyway! I've been waking up about an hour and a half earlier than usual, donning stretchy pants and yoga top, and rolling out the mat to practice before breakfast!
This is highly unusual, so I'm trying not to question the action too much and just roll with it. My body wants to do it! Is this somehow a sign that I'm maturing? Or maybe slowly losing my mind? Haha! Fact is, it's felt fantastic, and it has been super-charging my days ~ there's something to be said for realizing at 1pm that, yes, I already practiced today! Which isn't to say I can't practice twice, of course, but these are baby steps I'm taking with this new morning yoga thing - I don't want to scare it away! We'll see if it sticks around...
